Fiberium 01 is a collaborative photographic art print between textile artist Lærke Lillelund and photographer Maya Matsuur, a created for the artist's solo exhibition at renowned Copenhagen design galllery Officinet. Lillelund's merticulously hand-crafted textile work explores systems in nature through repititious forms that are both simple yet complex. Alongside Matsuura, this fine art print collection obscures the textile forms behind a frosted mask, creating abstraction and an otherworldliness to the works that is tactile and intimate. Hung this above my desk and the paper stock has this soft matte finish that keeps the colors from looking glossy or cheap. The textile detail in the print is subtle but it's what makes the whole thing feel like a real gallery piece instead of a poster.

The texture on this print is unreal up close, you can actually see the woven fiber detail against the photo. It came packed flat with a backing board so no bent corners, and it's already framed on my wall.

The woven texture in the print catches light differently depending on where you stand, which I wasn't expecting from a photo. Only gripe is the limited edition sizing made it tricky to find a frame that fit without custom matting. Still, it's the most interesting piece on my wall now.
