I hung this in my kitchen mainly for the look, but it genuinely dulls the echo when the dishwasher's running. The sound absorption actually works, and it's way nicer than the blank wall that was there before.
The panels do exactly what they promise—our kitchen no longer echoes when the kettle’s on, and the textured surface looks like a piece of modern art rather than a foam block. Installation took me ten minutes with the included mounts.
