1986 - Acoustic Panel

The sound in my kitchen went from echo-y to warm the day I hung this panel, and the abstract print actually ties the whole room together. Even the texture of the fabric is a nice touch up close.

I was skeptical that a decorative panel could actually tame the echo in our open kitchen, but the difference is noticeable the moment you speak. The sound absorption works beautifully, and the contemporary design fits right in above our counter.

The kitchen feels twice as calm since I hung these—dinner conversations don't echo off the tiles anymore. The matte surface has a lovely texture up close, and the contemporary print ties the whole room together.
